The EA Speed Lane is an ergonomically designed fast speed gate which operates on the principal of glass (or plastic) panels acting as barrier gates, only retracting into the speed lane body upon an authorised signal from access control, a push button or both.
Available in a choice of finishes including brushed or polished stainless steel or PPC in any RAL colour, our EA Speed Lane speed gate has the scope to aesthetically blend with most if not all building interiors making it a popular choice for architects and specifiers.
The mechanism within the EA Speed Lane speed gate has proven to be robust and reliable thanks to a mix of clever design and high quality components used in manufacture.
The EA Speed Lane has the ability to embed most manufacturers access control readers beneath the top cover, and together with the built in LED guidance illumination, it is clear that our speed lanes are designed to be intuitive to use whilst combining safety with pedestrian traffic flow capacity.
In today’s working environments, we see a broader spectrum of people entering and leaving our buildings every day. As the number of staff, clients and visitors increases, as to does the pressure on the security and receptions keeping track of who is and who isn’t permitted to enter a certain area of a building. The EA Speed Lane is a waist high speed gate (can also be known as a turnstile) that can support your people in ensuring only authorised staff & visitors are permitted to pass through to the secured areas of a building efficiently.

Speed Lane Wide Speed Gates
The EA Speed Lane Wide is fundamentally the same as our standard Speed Lane model, however it incorporates clever telescopic extended wings for applications where wider lane access is required.
The EA Speed Lane Wide has a passage width of 900mm so it provides an ideal lane control solution for DDA wheel chair access as well as equipment such as cleaning machines, trolleys etc.
The EA Speed Lane Wide can be configured in a row with standard width Speed Lane speedgates as both of these models share the same aesthetics and cabinet footprint.
The EA Speed Lane speedgate operates on the principal of glass (or plastic) panels acting as barrier gates retracting into the speed lane body upon an authorised signal. However the operation can also be programmed to operate in the reverse by only extending the panels out to block the lane in the absence of an authorised signal. Speed lanes that use the principal of retracting glass panels into their body are also known by some manufacturers as SpeedGates™, SpeedLane™ or FastLane™ products.
The EA Speed Lane is an ideal access control speed lane solution for most applications, they are most commonly used in: office’s and reception areas, hotels, fitness centres, gym’s, leisure centres, libraries, schools, colleges, universities to name just a few.
Your security speed gate project maybe one of these applications, or indeed your building or facility use maybe something totally different. Whatever you wish to achieve using speed gates or speed lanes as part of your access control plans, please get in contact with us and one of our specialists will be able to advise you of the best options available to you.
The EA Speed Lane can operate in normally closed and normally open mode.
In the case of power voltage failure both access directions are free. The speed gate is controlled manually or by a control system. The blades are opened/closed in 0.8 seconds, providing a high traffic flow capacity of up to 30 persons per minute without safety inhibition.
Different top cover options are available to assist in aesthetically incorporating the speed gate design into its surrounding area and these include:
- Steel (standard)
- Glass
- Wood
- Polystone
